Restored Quincy Looper FD-67
This Looper is from the estate sale of Phil Crown (Tx). This motor was in terrible condition. I soaked the pistons for weeks and ended up beating them out of the bore with 2x2 blocks of wood. The rotating guts of the motor were junk. I included a picture of the rusted crankshaft. I only had to replace one piston and Bruce Summers came up with new rings for the 2.455 bore. I replaced the small reed cages with a set of large opening cages and had the 3rd ports included. I also decided to add a Merc650 distributor CD ignition and mounted it to the Quincy base plate I also bought with the motor. I still have to color coat the megaphones, but other than that, the motor is complete and ready to go. Regards, Roger
