Ray Mason, the patriarch of Mason Outboard Racing fame, taking a test spin with his new 1965 Quincy Looper. Ray's grandson, David, is an active and successful outboard racer.

Dan Kirts, driving a hydro with a one of a kind, 8 cylinder Konig engine for Marshall Grant, was written up in an article printed in the 8/19/77 Hinton Daily News. Marshall Grant was well known as a member of the Johnny Cash band. This 8 cylinder Konig engine is now part of a collection owned by Mark Suter, which can be found under the Collections section of this web site.

The 1981 PRO Nationals held at Lakeland, FL, was dedicated to the late Dub Parker. Dub's outboard racing career began in 1932. He earned several championship titles over the years and was well liked by his fellow boat racers. See also Dub Parker's thread under the Racing Legends section.
